The garlic bread is so delicious. I had the lasagna Giovanni. I had an expectation of the flavors after reading the descriptions and seeing photos from other diners. To me, it slightly missed the mark. The sausage is sliced from links, not crumble. My personal preference is a crumble. I enjoy meat in lasagna as much as the next carnivore, however, this had so much meat in between the noodles, I lost the flavor of the homemade lasagna noodle and sauce.

The food and atmosphere are really nice and it's a cool cozy spot. A little expensive but it's justified when you think that they most likely make everything themselves. The service however was poor from our waitress. She was very rude to me when I asked a simple question and she was very slow to bring us our check. All in all great food and ambiance but poor service.

I go to this nice place a lot! This is my favorite place to dine. I go to this spot regularly. The cooking is very good, the staff is courteous and the prices are good. I like meeting in this restaurant for a decent lunch.

The food was good. It was kind of pricey. 25 dollars for eggplant parmesan. For the quality of the food, in Cincinnati, I would have gladly paid 15 to 18 for it. I've certainly had better at family restaurants like this in bigger cities for less. However, the reason I am giving 4 stars was the rude service. They acted like they didn't want me there. They may not have wanted me there for whatever reason, but when the customer can tell, that's bad. Really would give 3.5 stars if that were an option

A storied Cincinnati tradition...soup to nuts, served unceremoniously in an other worldly hideaway. It's kind of romantic, kind of crazy: a vintage version of Italian dining that's all its own. Go hungry!

A real gem! Wonderful quaint place with great food. The minestrone soup was great, the house salad is a pickled salad that is awesome. Great lasagna. The area outside is a little scary, but the atmosphere and food is so worth it! The area is getting revitalized. I sure hope this great restaurant sticks around. We were served by 5th generation family!

Very authentic/ old country style Italian restaurant. Extensive menu with plain English descriptions of yours of pastas and sauces. The Green Lasagne D'amelia was delicioso. Decent wine selection and the expected great Italian desserts. The soup g salad were great. Service was very personal and informative. Atmosphere is cozy with classical music. Fine for dining alone, but I imagine even better for a date or small group, especially before a show.

I give the atmosphere a 5, but the food a 4, it was pretty good, kind of bland. The restaurant is a very fun place though with the Mosaic walls and the melted candles at each table. The wine is reasonably priced as well.

Same great food, people for the last 50 years. This remains a treat after these 50 years.

I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. It’s one of my top date night restaurants in the city. The staff is unique and friendly, and the restaurant itself is so cozy and has a rich history. The food is amazing, authentic Italian food. I’ve never been disappointed in my order. My go to dish is the green lasagna, the menu is diverse and has something for everyone.

I’m in love. Authentic Italian food. Best minestrone I’ve ever had. More food than one can eat. Impeccable service. I can’t wait to come back.

I was looking forward to taking my family here as I remember it was wonderful food and atmosphere. It was disappointing, the food was just okay. Overcooked pasta, way too spicy dishes and not a friendly waiter. The minestrone soup was very good and most of our party of 7 said they liked the salad but all commented the entrees were just okay. Not what I remember as a special place to go and stood out from other restaurants. :( (oh and water glasses looked dirty, yikes)

If you’re looking for true authentic Italian cuisine then it has to be Scotti’s. If aesthetics is high on your list then just drive on by, but if the food is most important then make sure to stop. We finally stopped in last year and will definitely be coming back.
